Baby is Star, Inc. was created in 2003 by
mompreneur, Laura Kronen. Kronen's first foray
into the childrens' market was with an entertaining
and educational video series for babies and toddlers
called Baby Road Trip. Inspired by the birth of her
first son, Baby Road Trip is a
multi award-winning video series for children 6 months
to 3 years of age which introduces little ones to
real-world places through exciting and interactive
virtual road trips. Each DVD allows children to
explore wonderful new locations and be exposed to
sights, sounds and images they may not be otherwise.
While newly pregnant with her second son,
Kronen was quickly reminded of the bouts of
frustration she had with the fit of her maternity
clothing during her first pregnancy. All of her pants
and skirts would not stay put on her hips. They would
fall down, spin around, and just not look flattering.
Remembering an idea she had written down when pregnant in 2002, Kronen assembled a "suspender
of sorts" that attached to her bra and to the top of
her pants, and she started wearing them everyday. No
one saw what she was wearing, and best of all, the
unique creation worked with pants, skirts, shorts -
you name it! The sagging problem was history! Kronen
started asking other mommies-to-be if they had the
same issues, and they did. Belly Ups was born!
Now hard at work on other products for the maternity
and children's market, you can expect another new and
innovative product from Baby is a Star to arrive in
June 2007!
